PCB Designer Jobs description

PCB designers design and document high density, highly complex multilayer printed circuits, flex circuits, and accompanying drawings within all applicable design guidelines. They also prepare documentation for mechanical descriptions of test fixtures and test systems. Therefore, excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
The job of a PCB designer starts with entering data required for printed circuit design revisions or simple printed circuits. Here, the PCB designer locates various parts observing part height restrictions, electrical sensitivity, inner layers, off-board access, off-board adjustment, connector placement, and other constraints.
The PCB designer then connects circuits using current CAD practices and monitors flow solder limitations, manufacturability improvements, and net list vs schematic continuity, thereafter performing detailed layout tolerance analyses. After completing the PCB artwork, drill and trim, assembly, silk screen, panelizing, parts lists, and schematic drawings describing a printed circuit or flex circuit, the PCB designer resolves design problems by consulting with a CAD vendor representative, other senior printed circuit designers or design supervisor.
Computer tools are used to document fixtures and test systems including mechanical descriptions and text as appropriate. And the work is done in close tandem with engineers, technicians, supervisor, and outside vendors to understand projects and negotiate solutions to problems.
Since PCB designers are responsible for time-to-complete estimates for all assigned drawings, their job ends with reporting the status of all assigned drawings to their supervisor.

Testimonial of the Week

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.

Only DesigningCrossing consolidates every job it can find in the domain and puts all of the job listings it locates in one place.

  • We have more jobs than any other job board.
  • We list jobs you will not find elsewhere that are hidden in small regional publications and employer websites
  • We collect jobs from more than 4,429,376 websites and post them on our site.
  • We are private, and therefore far fewer people are applying for the jobs on our site than are applying for those on public job boards.
