Description
Seeking an experienced digital instructional designer to create scalable, innovative, learning solutions. This candidate has a proven career history of designing engaging, interactive, and high-impact developmental experiences across modalities. This individual will work with subject matter experts, learning technology administrators, and projects teams to develop a course from concept to implementation. Knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theory, and neuroscience concepts is important to the role along with a curiosity to explore new trends in learning and technology.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Creates asynchronous courses and supporting materials, including video scripts, quizzes, microlearning assets, and activities that enhance the learning experience.
Partners with subject matter experts, learning technology administrators, script writers, vendors, and project teams to develop outcomes to create innovative, scalable designs.
Storyboards, designs and develops engaging, human-centered learning experiences using various modalities with a primary focus on digital.
Provides desired feature input and feedback to the product managers of different CCL learning technology
Creates concept designs and prototypes for testing
Ensures sound instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and neuroscience concepts are applied to create learning content that best fits the needs of the learner
Builds full courses that leverage the functionality of CCL's Learning platform
Collaborates in identifying and assessing new technologies and trends to develop best practices
Facilitates design sessions to establish outcomes
Leverages agile product development processes to create content
Education
Bachelor's degree required with master's degree or certificate in Leadership, Education, Learning Technology, Instructional Design or a related field preferred
Experience/Work background
5 years of experience in the design field such as a learning experience designer, e-learning designer, instructional designer, or related professional role
In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design techniques. 4MAT certification is a plus.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Skilled at conveying complex concepts into clear, easy to digest formats.
Ability to write effective copy, video scripts, instructional text and facilitator guides
Experience in developing e-learning using authoring programs such as Articulate Storyline
Experience creating digital and blended learning experiences that are scalable and inclusive for a global audience
LMS administrative experience is a plus
Strong instructional design experience designing for various modalities and formats (e.g., digital, classroom, virtual, blended)
Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and as a part of a global team
Comfort working in ambiguous, matrixed work environments
Working knowledge of agile project management principles
Learning and development industry knowledge preferred
Pay and Benefits
The hiring range for this role is $80,000 to $87,000. Offer will be commensurate with relevant qualifications and professional experience
