Description
The Senior Communications Professional and Visual Designer develops story narratives and power point presentations for various meetings and presentations across Humana's Information Technology (IT) organization. This position is critical to help drive clarity and broad consumption of our Humana technology story. A strong business or technology acumen is a must. You will collaborate heavily with subject matter experts, leaders and other stakeholders to visually tell the story of IT's transformation, progress and partnerships. You will work independently to coordinate, research and meet deadlines of diverse scope and complexity.
Responsibilities
As a member of the IT Communications & Culture team, the Senior Communications Professional and Visual Designer will partner with team members, leaders and subject matter experts to help better tell the story of Humana's technology capabilities. This individual will need to be a self starter and proactive. They must understand technology and how to create dynamic copy and headlines as well as be a master at power point and design. They need to work well with using data to tell powerful stories and have an executive presence that allows for high engagement and productivity. Project management and coordination are important to this role as this person works 1:1 with stakeholders and will be expected to manage their own schedule with little direction. This individual will also provide additional communications support in other areas as needed and has to have the ability to track and measure their work.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or certificates in Communication, Digital Design, Media, Business, Finance, Journalism or a related field or relevant work experience
3 experience designing power point presentations for business, financial or technology-related organizations
Excellent verbal, written and design skills
Understands data and analysis
Ability to ask insightful questions and decipher and translate technical jargon into relevant and easy-to-digest communications and visuals for a non-technical audience
Self-motivator with high initiative and strong time management skills
Critical thinker with strong interpersonal skills who can influence and guide colleagues, teammates and leaders
Ability to manage and stay on top of details in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
Collaborative
Idea generator and problem solver with positive attitude
Adobe and Microsoft Office suite skill sets with an emphasis on PowerPoint
Extremely proficient writing, editing and proofreading skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions on matters of moderate complexity with minimal guidance
Preferred Qualifications
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Familiarity with technology trends and disruptive technologies a plus
