Position Summary

We are looking for a Lead, UX Design to join Under Armour Global Ecommerce and help us create the next generation of commerce experiences. Our growing team of passionate designers, engineers, and product owners live and breathe technology. The Lead, UX Design will be responsible for creating best-in-class experiences for web, mobile web, and native app products. This role will work closely with other team leaders in product, engineering, marketing, merchandising, delivery, strategy, omnichannel, and other key stakeholders on a variety of projects in a fast-paced and positive environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Work closely with global leadership to contribute to a long range UX digital experience vision, plan, and actionable work products

Lead the product design process for product features and project and work closely with leadership across teams to create experiences that improve the user experience and achieve business goals

Lead design critiques, encourage diversity of ideas, and foster a healthy collaborative team culture

Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform designs and solutions (e.g., web metrics, a/b test results, third party research, consumer profiles, etc.)

Collaborate and develop documentation as needed to guide engineering, marketing, customer support, and content creation through the implementation of engaging, high-quality user experiences

Identify, plan, and facilitate user research, insight analysis, and other feedback mechanisms to deliver insights and actionable results

Consider global requirements for your work (e.g., longer text in translations, cultural considerations, etc.)

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

You are Passionate about advocating for the user within complex, challenging projects. You are self-managing, organized, and can handle the challenges that come with highly dynamic and fast-paced environments, while also having the patience required for complex, long-term projects. You bring to the team the following:

7 years of experience executing product design for web, iOS, and/or Android within Agile environments

Experience leading and/or mentoring a team of UX designers

An eye for best-in-class UI and understanding of how to build and manage a design language system

Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate design concepts to a variety of audiences

Proficient with a variety of design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, and Adobe

Strong communication skills (in person, over Webex, in email, in documentation)

Strong collaborator and a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes designers, content strategists, copy writers, product owners, project managers, and engineers

A strong voice advocating for experience design best practices within the company

Best-in-class project deliverables (personas, user journeys, wireframes, rationale, assets, comps, etc.)

Proven understanding of eCommerce, mobile, and digital retail best-practices are a must

Education And / Or Experience

Bachelor’s degree required

5 years of product management experience (preferably in Ecommerce)
