Graphic Designer

POWER Engineers, one of the nation’s strongest energy-related engineering and environmental consultants, is currently seeking a Graphic Designer for the Environmental Division in our Boise, Idaho, office. This person will be responsible for supporting design and layout of graphics, brochures, maps, fact sheets, presentations, newsletters, posters and other graphic materials. The designer will work as part of a marketing and proposal team focused on meeting the needs of both internal and external clients.

The ideal candidate loves problem solving, thrives on varied assignments, pays meticulous attention to detail, seeks to understand context, can translate personal design choices to meet internal and external brand guidelines, and enjoys learning new things.

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree, with preference to majors in graphic design or similar

2 years of graphic design experience, with an exceptional portfolio

Expert facility with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills

Ability to facilitate the design process, including assembling creative briefs and presenting design rationales

Willingness to listen to feedback and adjust design approaches

Effective time management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Comfortable working in a creative role in a corporate environment, including working with varied stakeholders in different departments and divisions

Must be able to work alone or in a team and enjoy a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Desired Education/Experience

Experience in video editing software and video production process (Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects)

Email marketing experience, including some proficiency with HTML and working with various email marketing platforms

Experience supporting social media campaigns
