Design Director Calvin Klein Collaborations

• Leads research and development for concept, color, fabrics, print and graphics, as well as hardware designs for product.
• Oversees photoshoots and casting for internal presentations as well as working closely with the Fashion Office team on customer-facing presentations.
• Collaborates with Calvin Klein Non-Apparel, Apparel, and Underwear Design leads on collaboration opportunities within those categories.
• Partners with Apparel Design lead ensure the work between Mainline and Collaborations product is cohesive.

• Designs concepts according to the merchandising plans set forth by the Merchandising leads.

• Leads fittings and reviews prototypes.
• Conveys all necessary Design and trend information to pertinent parties (Sourcing, Merchandising, and Technical Design). 
• Clearly and effectively communicates all necessary information for technical packages.

• Prepares design presentations for review meetings with senior leadership.

• Ensures timely development of collaborations lines by adhering to time and action calendars.

• Directs and manages the organization of relevant information to appropriate teams and cross-functional partners (mill cards, files of collections, etc.).
• Manages, develops, and trains Collaborations Design team.

• Previous experience working and collaborating with other brands as well as overseas partnership.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design

Ability to represent the Calvin Klein brand and maintain brand identity when working with external partners and collaborators.

Must possess entrepreneurial spirit and positive and hardworking attitude.

Must be independent and resourceful.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to sketch by hand and strong skills with Illustrator program.

Aware of cultural trends, emerging brands, artists, industry awareness, etc.

Possesses high fashion aesthetics.

Flexible to travel when necessary.

External: High profile collaborators, mills, factories, fabric, and trim vendors
