Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer 2 supports Humana Government Business (HGB) marketing projects as assigned. Responsible for creating visible images that can be used in media and print. Uses software to design products that meet the needs of the company. Enforcing brand adherence and the graphic creation and development of all marketing products. Coordinates multiple projects, prioritize work in a dynamic environment and takes the initiative to take projects to the next step; participates in cross-functional work groups as appropriate; seeks to support HGB objectives in the areas of excellence, trust, and championing the customer. Coordinates activities and integrates processes and tools wherever possible with marketing-related functions across the enterprise; ensures compliance with Humana marketing and brand standards and protocols. Understands design process for digital environments vs. print materials and can complete objectives following brand guidelines. Coordinates user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design processes and workflows to create seamless function for the customer across HGB web and app platforms. Creates and ensures thoughtful experiences using design software, while working with developers and IT teams, to manage and create web and app wireframes. Can deliver whole products from beginning-to-end for the digital and print experience of the customer. Coordinates and understands email design and development to support email campaigns.
Primary responsibilities
Ensure that the delivered products or services adhere to the policies and brand standards of the company
Leverage creative and marketing knowledge to develop new creative materials
Meet with internal departments to establish a vision for a product or design
Select colors, images, textures and shapes to create the layout
Select the size and arrangement of the different elements
Use computer software to create electronic versions of designs
Employ color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques when designing project
Develop material for web pages
Develop material for web applications
Support design and deployment of email campaigns
Support retrieval and validation of sensitive data
Design logos for products and businesses
Develop signs and environmental graphics
Create promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures
Develop the layout and production design of newsletters, handbooks, external communications, rackcards, brochures, magnets, interactive tutorials corporate reports, and other publications
Continued collaboration with IT departments to improve HGB online platforms including but not limited to HumanaMilitary.com and the Humana Military mobile app
Meet with stakeholders to collaborate on design
Collaborate with printers to select type of paper and ink.
Submit rough drafts for approval.
Make changes to wireframes
Required Qualifications
Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position
Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP - Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing)
Bachelor's degree
2 - 3 years of experience with graphic design in a digital and print environment
Experience with Adobe creative suite products
Excellent written and oral communication
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
