POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Design Development Associate will be responsible for the redevelopment of EU takedowns for assigned product categories. Responsibilities will also include off-price development and International Markets SMU and size scaling.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Follow Design direction and selection of EU Styles curated by EVP Design and Merchandising Leadership for CS & Wholesale
  • Coordinate with Design, production & merchant team to obtain original samples and artwork along with initial costs, then make modifications where necessary to ensure target cost are met
  • Partner with design and sourcing to drive fabric and trim leverage across channels where appropriate
  • Build and update artwork/ cads reflecting all updates and relevant information (style/color name)
  • Build Tech packs / BOMs in PLM system (Centric) to communicate all info to vendors and PD partners
  • Manage virtual presentation boards (Visulon)
  • Manage comments & approve on all PP samples, lab dips & handlooms of additional color-ways
  • Attend fittings and provide comments to the technical design team
  • Attend post proto meeting for both channels to ensure modifications are clearly documented, communicated and executed
  • Collaborate with merchandising and production to ensure approvals meet calendar deadlines so deliveries are not impacted

QUALIFICATIONS:     

  • 6+ years in Apparel Design related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Fashion Design
  • Must have an understanding of design process and design experience a plus
  • Must have proficient knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Web PDM/PLM
  • Strong organization skills
  • Works both collaboratively and independently
  • Exhibits passion to support team goals and approaches tasks with solution-oriented mindset
  • Utilize creative problem solving skills to constantly evolve processes for more efficiency, agility, and growth
  • Responsible for communicating fit notes to Technical Design
  • Responsible for color dip approvals and call-outs
  • Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, team player, flexible, organized, and professional at all times
  • Highly collaborative, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
  • Need positive attitude to ensure collaboration, inclusivity and growth

Pay Range:

$66,550 – $90,200
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
