Description
The Product Design Principal Partners with product teams to design products that satisfy and exceed customer needs. The Product Design Principal provides strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical experience.
Responsibilities
The Product Design Principal Develops product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable product design features. Develops design briefs for new product ideas to present a clear, focused concept for strategic consideration. Works with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies. Advises one or more areas, programs or functions and provides recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.
Develop and advocate an end-to-end human-centered design (HCD) process within Consumer Health Organization (HCD 'Center of Excellence'). Includes enforcement and governance of the HCD process by which the team drives 'Consumer-first' product development.
Management and development of Group Product proto-personas, personas, and standardized archetypes for the Consumer Health team - with a heavy focus on member/patient/provider.
Establish, curate and maintain a research repository for the Group Product - Consumer Health team.
Influence and partner with related UX, UI and Human Centered Design teams across Digital, HumInc account, and Clinical. Develop, maintain, and execute on appropriate A/B and multivariate testing analysis with partners from across Humana.
Must be able to present empathetic and convincing user experiences to senior leaders across Humana in order to drive alignment and serve as a voice of the consumer in these conversations.
Develop and maintain all end-to-end group product specific user journeys in partnership with Consumer Health Product Managers' products. Should take into account experiences across Digital, Clinical, Service, and external third-party partners. Includes identification of experiential gaps and opportunities that will drive better NPS and an improved Cost of Care by reducing barriers to care and transparency of enhanced healthcare opportunities (ex - gaps in care closure).
Develop wireframes and prototypes, although mostly demonstrative, on how a solution and experience may look and function based on an understanding of best practices in human-computer interaction design (HCI). These would be used as directional guidance with partners such as DH&A to inform any final solution designs.
Develop process/roadmap for direct, ongoing, member research - including any surveys, ethnographic research, integrated product utilization analytics, etc. Must be familiar with products such as Pendo or MixPanel.
