Job Summary:
This position develops and edits technical illustrations and material for operating manuals, work instructions, specifications sheets, and related technical and administrative publications in print or electronic media.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings with CAD models and prepare exploded views of equipment to be converted into line art/images which are to be used in parts breakdowns, disassembly/assembly instructions, maintenance diagrams.
Create detailed parts breakdown illustrations and disassembly/assembly illustrations using Adobe Illustrator and based on exploded CAD models from Inventor.
Explode isometric and orthographic views. Works with engineering, manufacturing, and operations personnel on developing and updating technical illustrations and documents as the need arises.
Decipher complex mechanical and technical data and convert into visual information.
Imports and optimizes engineering models from Vault/Inventor for rendering in 3DS Max.
Selects photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
Observes production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail.
Reviews manufacturers and trade catalogs, drawings, and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment.
Assists in laying out material for publication.
Organizes material and completes technical illustrations and writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Work with teams across multiple time zones and in different countries.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of technical communications business processes, competencies, tools, standards and best practices.
Maintains records, files, and revisions.
Develop process documentation and improve current processes as needed.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphics Design or related discipline.
2 years of technical illustrations experience in an engineering technology or related field
Experience creating Parts Manuals, Safety/Operator's Manuals, Service/Maintenance manuals and Technical bulletins
Proficient in 3D Max
Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Candidates must be able to work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
