SUMMARY

Global Asset Technologies, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified UX/UI Designer for a possible new contract in Suitland, MD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are

not

intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Determine the why and how to improve the new site design.

Phase I: Create new design mockups and present to customer. The presentation will include the findings from analysis and interviews and why the new User Interface will drive more users to use the new site.

Phase II: Create a working prototype of the chosen design that shows links to and from demonstrating usability and fewer clicks, etc.

Phase III: Create a wireframe with CSS and instructions for the developers. Work alongside the developers to create the new site.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

Current Secret Security Clearance

Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in User Interface design and User Experience design

Degree or related experience in field as a UI/UX Designer

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Adobe Suite experience

Ability to process wire framing, interactive mockups, etc.

CSS experience

Ability to work with developers on a variety of levels/projects

Business Analysis and interview experience with end users and stakeholders to understand the as-is in order to design the improved to-be new site interface

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
