The
Financial Education
Senior Specialist, Learner Experience independently creates engaging and impactful content for learners from all ages and backgrounds. The Specialist is responsible for leading content development activities and to collaborate with the internal Product Development teams to ensure alignment of content with the product vision.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate with other Product teams to ideate, create, or revise digital educational content around financial literacy and financial education topics for adult learners
Provide strategic guidance to the product manager on content to be included in the roadmap
Remain informed and knowledgeable about national and state regulations and trends related to financial topics (for example, the Community Reinvestment Act)
Actively monitor industry trends and regulatory changes and proactively raise course content impact to Product Owners
Translate regulatory requirements into engaging and informative content within a product in close collaboration with Product Management
Lead the creation of innovative learning experiences across a variety of topics and audiences within an EVERFI network
Guide internal and external resources in building topic outlines, content sequencing, and structure, as well as proposed user flow for courses
Write and review compelling instructional content, including scripts, video scripts, and supporting resources to augment the core product
Self-manage content tasks using project management tools and coordinating with the scrum master
Review and improve new and existing content to maintain a consistent voice and tone across products
Actively contribute to the alignment of the EVERFI Integrated Development Ecosystem (IDE) with leaner-first principles, pedagogy, andragogy, and instructional design
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of content strategy with features, improvements, and expansion of the EVERFI content catalog
Provide product support to the sales team at sales kick-off meetings with customers
Other job-related duties as assigned
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Experience creating financial education content for adult learners
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, Instructional technology or a relevant field, Master’s Degree preferred
4 years of experience with e-learning content and development using multiple software platforms and e-learning content authoring tools
In-depth knowledge of instructional design methodologies with the ability to translate this information into actionable strategies
Expertise in the development of learning solutions including micro-learning, blended learning, just in time training, and others
Superior attention to detail
Proficient with Google suite and Jira or similar project management tools
Experience with course authoring tools
Experience working in an agile environment preferred
