Title: UX Engineer-Software Screen Designer

Location: Albany, NY Hybrid, but full remote and/or out of state a possibility for the right candidate

Duration: through 8/1/2024

Job Description:

User Experience (UX) staff will need to understand how users interact with and experience the system. UX includes a person's perceptions of utility, ease of use, and efficiency. To improve UX, staff will utilize a variety of industry standard tools and techniques.

Job Duties

Understand and document business goals and technical specifications.

Understand and document personas and UX research reports.

Generate sitemaps and information architecture.

Develop experience maps, user journeys and user flows.

Build UX wireframes.

Build interactive prototypes.

Create visual designs.

Generate style-guides and specifications for developers.

Perform usability testing and generate usage analytics reports.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Math, Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.

An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.

5 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design.

Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and others.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces.

Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and comparable languages.

Professional written and interpersonal skills when communicating with users and development staff.

Experience creating storyboards and website mapping.
